PaperChic Jewels

Project conceived in Venice for the university thesis, selected nationally from thousands of projects to be developed during the SAMSUNG @ IED Master (partner Leo Burnett), presented in Milan at the Samsung District Arena during the Salone del Mobile 2015.

PaperChic is my own brand, handmade lasercutted paper jewels, produced in Italy for a medium-high target.

Italian artisanal know-how combined with the most modern digital fabrication 2.0 processes. Paper Chic thus becomes a self-produced series of wearable smart jewels inspired by the world of Haute Couture, capable of conveying emotions and sensations, interacting with the most modern devices.
Thanks to the angular, geometric shapes created by interlocking two-dimensional paper modules, each jewel finds its changing form in a 3D sculpture that can potentially be infinitely rearranged.
A project for a jewel that engages the customer from the first stage of choosing the desired shape and paper weight, and which, via NFC, will continue to amaze the wearer with a play of colors capable of perfectly adapting to any outfit or emotion.
